A Bliss on Bantayan Island Cebu

It was January 1, 2012 when we first talked about going out of town. It was supposed to be just a sort of a little chit chat over coffee with 8 expected people and guess how many came?

Two.... and we've organized the travelling thing thru SMS, coordinated with the gang thru phone calls...booked our flight via itouch and voila!

WE are going to Cebu just like that... how i love my friends...=)

Our flight sched was March 09, 2012 that was Friday, departure is at 4:25 AM so we have to be in NAIA Terminal 3 2 hours before the said sched.

It was an hour and 20mins air travel to Mactan Airport Cebu..That's where our friend (living in Cebu) is waiting for us with a rented Van negotiated only on that specific moment..Amazing =D

We planned to go exploring Cebu but we had about 2 days only so we agreed to just stay in one of the famous beaches of Cebu, the Bantayan Island.

How to get to Bantayan Island:

1. From the airport you can take a cab going to the Cebu City North Terminal (preferably outside the airport vicinity, for a cheaper price) Fare is 150-200 Php

2. At the North Bus Terminal, look for the Ceres Bus with Hagnaya sign board, it will take you to Hagnaya Port where you will soon board a Ferry / Ro-Ro (as we call) to Sta Fe Pier. Bus Fare is 50-70Ph
Travel time is 3 hours.

3. Or if you're traveling on a group, you can hire private vans to Hagnaya Port like we did. Van's capacity is usually good for 10pax. We hit the road to the port for 2 hours only. We rented the van for 1, 500 Php (one way)

4. Hagnaya Port has it's boarding sched. Their first schedule is at 5:30AM, and travel time to Sta. Fe Pier is an Hour and 20min. to be exact.
Fare is 75Php.

Enjoy blue water and clear sky while sailing.
When we got to Sta. Fe Pier, the resort's vehicle is waiting  for us and as I approached him while holding a card board with my name written on it, he immediately welcomed and assisted us to the resort.

A view of the beach at Yooneek Resort.

Among all the resort in Bantayan island, it is only Yooneek who has a sand bar which is also visited by other tourists from other resorts.

We rented 2 rooms good for 4 pax each at Yooneek Beach Resort, each costs 1, 400 for an overnight stay. It was a small resort, just enough to enjoy privacy and relax.

A view from the back door of the room.

They live under the stairs of the house =)

We are starvingggg..

Floating bar at the back, during low tide, it's only above the knee.

Sun set at Bantayan Island

At night, we go outside the resort to have dinner. We stopped into this cozy eatery, very tropical.

After dinner, we made bonfire at the beach.

Second Day!

Cebu has a fine white sand and your feet will definitely enjoy it!

Win a friend!

Going to the eatery..More fun in the Philippines!
Delicious
Going home now..

Cebu's Best! Pasalubong!
